Early Education and Care:
The Child Care program first
started in 1992 due to a need for quality child care within the Rutland community.
Over the years the program has made changes including a name change to Early
Education and Care. The Early Education and Care program has added enrichment
programs at several local school within Rutland County
per parent request. These programs offer more than just babysitting. The
Early Education and Care programs offers enriching programs for Infants,
Toddlers, Pre School and School Aged Children as well as Summer Programs.
Early Education and Care brings
together a mix of young children in an enriched, developmentally appropriate
learning environment. We are more than
daycare! Our early childhood program
promotes independence, self-esteem and growth in areas of motor skills,
language and literacy, play skills and social competency. VAC currently enrolls approximately 120
children, from six weeks through twelve years of age in our early education
and care program.
We provide nutritious
breakfast, lunch and pm snacks. In addition to our education filled
classrooms we have infant/toddler and preschool/school aged playgrounds, a
gymnasium, swimming activities in the Mitchell Therapy Pool.
